Bleeding suns is a visualization of the dramatic consequence of our relation with our natural and non-natural environments. Rooted in post-naturalism as a way of understanding humans relationship to the non-human environment, these photograms belong to a visual research of the possibilities of representation and how this can challenge our notions of what it is commonly understood as nature. Following the lines of conceptual art and abstraction, the triptych was inspired by a burning candle as a symbol of global warming, self-consumption, and the technological manufactures that have allowed us to control the element of fire.
