In the midst of lockdown, in the early months of the Covid-19 pandemic in Spain, photographer Maite de Orbe developed several rolls of film only to discover that, by accident, the film had been exposed twice. First in the London night club scene prior to the outbreak of the virus, and again following her return to Madrid for the lockdown.
The resulting double exposures provide a remarkable reflection of the photographers experience of this strange time: that of being physically present in Madrid, but with her mind still wandering longingly on those last nights out in London.
